Claims Consultant

Each Self-Insured Group contracts with an independent claims consultant to work with Breckpoint and the Third Party Administrator to oversee the claims process with an overall goal of superior claims performance.

Brokers

Breckpoint contracts with brokers to recruit safety-oriented and like-minded potential members. We work closely with small groups of brokers or agencies to educate and guide their clients and prospects through onboarding and ongoing customer service after joining.

TPA

Each Self-Insured Group contracts with a Third Party Administrator to administer claims. TPAs report to the board and members regularly ensuring transparency. TPAs offer a greater degree of control when it comes to workers’ compensation claims.

Actuary

An Actuary is contracted by the Self-Insured Groups to provide an annual update on the overall rate of the group, contributing to the security and financial stability of each group.

Excess

Each Self-Insured Group contracts with an excess insurance company for catastrophic claims or occurrences which is a California requirement and creates a financial safety net for the group.

Risk Management

We strive to bring together safety-minded companies. Our Risk Management Division works closely with members of the group to create a safety culture, identify areas of concern, educate key employees on how to effectively user their services, and provide safety resources.

Financial Auditors

Financial Auditors are contracted by the Self-Insured Groups to perform annual audits of each member. They also audit financials of the group annually.

Administration

California SIGs are required by statute to have an administrator. Breckpoint is a SIG administer, and as such we strive to work with the Board of Directors to administer each group in a manner that results in a financially secure group. We also provide sales, marketing, and underwriting as a part of our administrative services.
